Rep. Caulkins and Sens. Bennett and Turner Host I-Cash Event in Bloomington 

DECATUR, IL… State Representative Dan Caulkins (R-Decatur) and Senators Tom Bennett (R-Gibson City) and Sally Turner (R-Beason) are hosting an I-Cash event with the Illinois Treasurer’s Office on June 20th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Rep. Caulkins’ Bloomington office. 

Residents in the 88th House District and the 44th and 53rd Senate Districts are encouraged to attend the event at 2401 E. Washington St., in Bloomington, to see if they have unclaimed property being held through the Illinois Treasurer’s Office. 

On the Treasurer’s website, items that fall under unclaimed property consist of accounts and financial instruments that are usually intangible. These include checking and savings accounts, uncashed wage and payroll checks, uncashed stock certificates or dividends, insurance payments, utility deposits, customer deposits, accounts payable, credit balances, refund checks, money orders, traveler’s checks, mineral proceeds, court deposits, uncashed death benefit checks and life insurance proceeds. These unclaimed property items do not include real estate or vehicles.
