Illinois State Representative State Representative Dan Caulkins (R-Decatur) honored Jennifer Dahn, Founder and Executive Director of PawPrint Ministries Comfort Dogs, and Stephanie Price, Capital Coordinator at Caterpillar Inc. at the Emerging Women Leaders brunch held at the State Capitol on Tuesday. The event honored the contributions of emerging female leaders from throughout the state.
“Jennifer Dahn and Stephanie Price are two leaders making a positive impact in central Illinois,” said Rep. Caulkins. “Jennifer Dahn is improving the lives of central Illinoisans by providing individuals and families with her comfort dog ministry and Stephanie Price is an excellent ambassador and strong advocate for the business community in the Decatur area. I appreciate both of their contributions and dedication to central Illinois as Dahn and Price are two emerging leaders for our region.”
Jennifer Dahn and Stephanie Price joined 50 female leaders from across the state who are each taking bold steps to make Illinois a better place to live and work. In addition to the recognition brunch, the group participated in a discussion about what issues are important for Illinois women, and how the General Assembly can create policy that reflects their priorities.
Rep. Caulkins added, “I was honored to recognize Dahn and Price at this special event while providing them the opportunity to share their vision for making central Illinois a better place to live with my colleagues in the House of Representatives. We heard from dozens of female leaders from around the state. I appreciate the advice and expertise that was shared with us all.”
The contributions of these two women were further recognized by House Republican Leader Tony McCombie from the House Floor during session on Tuesday, April 18 at the Illinois Capitol in Springfield.
