Caulkins Inaugurated as State Representative for New 88th House District

On Wednesday, January 11th, State Representative Dan Caulkins (R-Decatur) was inaugurated to the 103rd Illinois General Assembly.Caulkins has served in the General Assembly since 2019 as State Representative for the 101st District.

Representative Caulkins will now be representing the newly drawn 88th House District which includes communities in Dewitt, Macon, McLean, and Piatt counties.

“I am committed to defending the people of Illinois against the dangerous one party rule that the Democrats in the General Assembly are so deeply committed to,” said Caulkins. “Illinois is facing significant challenges like businesses leaving the state, declining population, and persistent corruption. These issues will only continue to negatively impact the people, businesses and communities that want to call Illinois home.”

Caulkins continued, “It is my belief that a truly democratic society requires a diversity of viewpoints, and I will work tirelessly to ensure that the voices of my constituents are not drowned out by the Chicago and Springfield insiders that make up Illinois’ political class.”

Since taking office in 2019, Rep. Caulkins has made any initiative that limits the size and scope of Illinois’ burdensome government his top priority. This includes fighting for desperately needed ethics reforms, increasing transparency in the budget process, and defending parental rights.
